Hi everyone!

It's great to be back after all these time. I've been catching up on rest and getting my korea article up on It should be published soon, can't wait for you all to read it, especially those of you who are hoping to make Korea your next travel destination soon, hope you get some ideas from the feature.

Anyway, here's a quick OOTD series I shot with Leng Keong 2 weeks back.

Hope you like it!

I paired a soft cotton shirt from Sans & Sans with these striped pants for the ultimate chillaxed look for a night out of food and drinks with family. The pants are crisp and fitting and I love how long and straight they make my legs look haha.

I've been wanting to review a new range cologne that has recently arrived our shores and charmed many experienced noses at its soft launch at Escentials.

Atelier Cologne was born out of a serendipitous encounter between Sylvie Ganter and Christophe Cervasel. Perfume had always been their passion and their profession, with both having equally strong  backgrounds in the fragrance departments.

Their dream was to create colognes of character to be worn as pure perfume, while exalting the characteristic and magic freshness of cologne. Together, they present to you Cologne Absolue.

I loved the way Christophe illustrated how he met his wife, how their chance meeting gave birth to  Atelier Cologne. Second thing I love about the range is that all smell distinctively different on their but are still able to layer on one another if you wanna.
My 2 favourite picks are:

Christophe was extremely smart to have 'opened the show' with this happy, exuberant scent, Orange Sanguine (100ml, SGD170). It smells exactly like freshly peeled orange skin, the kind of scent you'd wear out for a picnic with friends, laughing and celebrating youth, sunshine and breakfast moments.

Top notes
blood orange from Italy
bitter orange from Seville
red mandarin from Italy

Heart notes
jasmine from Egypt
geranium from South Africa
black pepper from Madagascar

Base notes
tonka bean from Brazil
sandalwood from Indonesia
cedarwood from Texas

The other fragrance that tore me apart, which I eventually bagged home is Oolang Infini (100ml, SGD200). This is what I would wear on a daily basis, it smells just like how I'd wanna smell, firm, collected and understated.
A scent that makes you wanna go back to it again and again and again, like a baby's scent lol. It's so easy to be comfortable in it, the soft musky scent settling in for long periods of time without having to re-apply it again  throughout the day. Definitely lasting and worth every penny paid.

Top notes
bergamot from Calabria
Tunisian neroli

Heart notes
oolang tea
jasmine from Egypt
blond leather

Base notes
tobacco flower from the Balkans
gaiac wood from India

Now available at: Escentials Paragon #03-02/05 and Escentials Tangs Beauty 1.

Earlier last month, I attended a meaningful event with Ivan at LV's Island Maison. Makeup was my own while my hair was done at Next Salon Ion before I met up with Ivan at Marina Bay Singapore,

Hosted by Gregory O'Neil from BCD Travels, it was a charity gala to raise funds for the kids at Jamiyah Children's  Home through a silent auction and I am very happy that to have been a part of this and help them spread the word and generate more awareness for their home.

You can lend a hand by making a small donation or even by giving away food or donations in kind(toys, apparels etc).

Learn more about it on their website here or on their Facebook page.

Thank you again for reading this post, I shall pack up some of stuff for the kids and I already feel like volunteering once my health gets better!

Have a great mid-week and I'll see you all soon!

I'm doing something new and exciting today! I'll be having my first guest blogger bloggging for me and I'm exhilarated that that person is none other than my boo Anna Francesca Rodriguez from!

I'll leave you in good hands and do let us know what you think/feel about this guest blogging thing cos' I hope we can do this more often!

When we think of chill-out bars, we imagine fancy, city-lighted, just-left-the-office-businesssuit-cladded men hanging out on a friday night. At least for me, that’s the image that comes to mind. The last setting one could ever imagine is being surrounded by greenery all over in such a place; but that’s exactly what you’ll find at Kakis Bistro and Bar which makes it pleasantly different from the bars we are familiar with.

Located at Farnborough Road at Changi Village. Yes, it is a bit far and away from the city, but this is, in my opinion, what gives it its charm. Gwen brought me along their Chill-Eat-Drink session just so we could catch up and hang out that day. Isn’t she the sweetest?

We parked quite far away and had to walk to reach there, which is just sad because we didn’t know there was free parking on site! Upon arriving, we were ushered in into what seemed to be a huge garden; rightly so because all the greens that they serve on the menu all come from the place itself. It couldn’t get any fresher than this!

The ambience is definitely relaxing and soothing; a far cry from our busy, fast paced life, thus a good place to just chill and hang out with friends.

Prawn Alioli with Homegrown Lemongrass & Coriander
The prawns are served medium rare and are plump and juicy when chewed; certainly fresher than your average shrimp. The lemongrass and coriander adds an even more refreshing taste to this dish. Too bad for Gwen that she can’t eat to shrimp-- I had it all to myself. *grins*

Stir Fry Button Mushroom with Homegrown Kaffir Leaf, Shallots and White Wine
We loved this offering! The mushrooms were cooked just nicely and were not at all soggy as some might turn out when cooked with a bit of sauce. Needless as it is to keep repeating that the produce are all very fresh, they truly are and is what makes their food worth the visit.

Chicken Quesadilla with Home Made Salsa
The quesadillas are thin and light; definitely not overwhelming to the palate. The chicken itself is soft and matches well with the semi-crispy tortilla, although I feel that they could add more serving of the salsa. After all, isn’t that what we’re always after?

Fries Addiction (In-house special seasoning)
They are very generous in serving size when it comes to fries, the two of us almost cannot finish the amount that they gave us! Although unsure of the seasoning’s composition, it is indeed tastier than your average bar counter fries.

Aglio Olio (w/ fusion taste of home grown kaffir leaf)
Served with prawns cooked in similar style to the Prawn Alioli above, their Aglio Olio is well cooked, as with the rest of the food they served us. Not too oily and not too creamy, it’s definitely a good choice for pasta lovers.

I have to be honest that by the time the Fish and Chips were served, I was quite full already. It’s served with salad and cooked the way fish in Fish and Chips, in my opinion, should be--crispy on the outside, soft and juicy on the inside.

Red Velvet Cake
For dessert, we were served their signature red velvet cake. I like the fact that it wasn’t too sweet to the taste and though it’s not as moist as other cakes, it was a great way to end our meal.

They offer a lot of fun activities and that night we were also taught how to make our own drinks by the bartender!

One last thing worth mentioning is the great band that plays at Kakis--it is what made us stay so late that night. We got to chat with them for a while and such cool and down to earth people they are! They’re very friendly and open to requests, and even though Gwen asked them to cover a difficult song, they agreed to play it with a just a few cheering, and they delivered it excellently, too.

It’s best to go to Kakis at night time as it will be much cooler with all the greenery and sans the intense heat of the sun. It is relaxing and great for those who want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city and would like to have a fun evening with friends and music.

Must admit that the downside is its location; a bit far from any MRT and suitable for those who come by car or by bus (Changi Golf Course Bus Stop 99049, Buses 2, 9, 19, 59, 89, 109)

As for the food and I’ve reiterated so many times in this post, the dishes served are all very fresh and succulent and will not leave you hungry during your stay there!

Hello sugar pumpkins!

How's your week been so far? I'm feeling a little stretched from work so I'm taking the weekend off to relax, rejuvenate to calm my mind and body. Heh, it's important to do that for yourself so you can power up and charge from Monday to Friday!

Anyway, here are some shots Anna and I took before Anna Sui's Beach Collection 2014 Launch at BHG Bugis some time ago.

I love the perforated white dress for its simplicity and elegant look. What's really interesting is that you can detach the necklace that comes with the dress and attach it with your own! Have been tying my hair up in a top knot or ponytail lately as the heat has been sweltering!

OMG no one would believe what's happening to me unless I tell you myself lol. In the last 100 hours, I only had 4 hours of sleep. Other than that, my mind and body has been working in supersonic-godspeed lol.

Even taking a cab home from the hotel is a BLESSING. God brought this cab driver to me for a reason and I told him that, turns out the reason why I have been so hyper-active and emotional could be due to the steriods (bobian) I am taking from my doctor. My rare immune deficiency MAY be cured and he shared with me that because he takes steriods for his skin problems too, he gets too hyper and his mind can't stop. So he told me that I needed to keep my meds in check and also check back with my doctor on this.

Isn't it amazing? Before this, I wouldn't have known or understand why everything that is happening is happening to me and now I just got enlightened! Haha, I stopped taking my muscle relaxants at night because I thought it was bad but now I know why the doctor prescribed it and why I SHOULD take it lol.

I've just taken it and I PROBABLY will be able to sleep like a baby tonight, YAY! So all of my angels whatsapp-ing me and msging me, DON'T WORRY. I think I will be OKAY NOW. hee, long status update again. I hope you're not bored ;p

So this is my "brief" status update, and just wanted to tell anyone who's reading that you never know what will happen next, little coincidences like that are #godsent. Happy Sunday and Happy Father's Day to the GREATEST DAY IN DA WORLD. I miss you and I'm sorry I did not spend it with you today, but we'll make it up to you tmr. LOVE YOU DADDY <3

2 photos I just uploaded from my mobile! My first time at USS today, and my favourite is the Mummy's ride, followed by Transformers!

Meds kicking in so I'm gonna shower and crash now! :)

Good night you all munchkins! <3

As promised I'm back with another blog entry today!!

Wanted to come home early to have dinner and get started on my TSL article and blog post but today's schedule turned out INSANE! Omg.

Rushed out of the house for a meeting at the TSL office, then had lunch with Bryan and WHAT DO YOU KNOW. The blur queen in me was looking for Bryan fervently and THEN BAMMMM. The entire bowl of scalding hot Yong Tau Fu just spewed down on me. LOL ULTIMATE KLUTZ. It didn't feel painful initially, felt more like sauna but once I went to the the restroom to get it washed and cleaned, OMFG, THE PAIN WAS EXCRUCIATING. Burning from the inside out and it was so unbearable.

My dear BFF Bryan happily sat his ass down and enjoyed his saba fish and herbal soup while all that happened and got me mad pissed at him! Hahaha he was more concerned about enjoying his warm food than my burnt legs la! T_T I forgive him though, he bought me necklaces today from Gush Cloud's office sale or something! YAY!!! SO PREETS!!

Made me feel better after all that insensitive bull he put me through ;p
Back to my OOTD!

Matched a loose-fitting sleeveless tunic with this gorgeous houndstooth printed cropped pants from Sans & Sans! The tunic is quite long but I opted for the tuck-ed in look and paired it with a vibrant yellow blazer from Tiara.

A little impressed at myself that I was able to pull off pants since I almost never wore them and I've been sporting more pants recently cos' I found a couple from Sans & Sans that really fits my lower body like a dream! And I love how shameless I make myself sound right now haha XD

Morning buttercups!!!!!!

I'm up early again today though I had my alarm set up at 10am for later. Slept really late these 2 days cos' there's been so much work to catch up on now that I'm getting better and I've been running around for the island for meetings with potential clients and also getting to meet lots of new friends that I met on IG!

It's been a long time since I went on a "blind" date kinda thing, I remember I was 15 when I met my first Warcraft3 friend in real life! Hahaha I was so terrified I had to lug a girl friend along to accompany me for the whole experience. Met with 2 sweetest IG-ers last week but they wanna be nameless and mysterious so I can't post photos ;p

But I did get around to uploading my photos from yesterday's full day of events!

It's almost too long since I had my hair treated so I went down to Xavier at Next Salon who knows my hair best ;p

Did a treatment that helped softened my hair, I didn't exactly ask what it was but I trusted him and you'll just have to see for yourself from the photos! Hee, I didn't touch up on my roots since I've been having this rare immune deficiency condition and I am more cautious and skeptical about chemicals that I put on my face and into my body so I decided touching up on my roots can wait for now til' I get a clear diagnosis from my doctor and he gives the "good to go" to dye my hair. Perhaps those dyes without ammonia would be all right? Well I'm not sure but it doesn't look that bad to me anyway now that my roots are growing out, most importantly, my roots and ends are healthy! :)

CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF THIS HAIR CUT AND STYLING!! Xavier blew it and I just can't get over how soft and korean-ish it turned out

Haha I know, my hair looks really outrageous and unruly in the mornings but that's how they really are! A lot of you sweets have asked me how come my hair always looks so nice or luscious but they are actually very dry and damaged. It looks good in videos or when I'm at events cos' I either straightened it at home or have my styling done at Next! ;p

So what I hope to do more consistently are actually good hair treatments that will help to soften my ends and keep my roots clean and healthy.

If you wanna know what products I use to keep my hair tamed and healthy, I will be doing a Hair Routine detailed video/blog post soon so keep a lookout for that! There's been a lot of video request and I will try my best to film them as soon as I can!

Here's a just a quick scoop of what I use most of the time:

1. Hair Shampoo - Original & Mineral Detox Shampoo (Once a week or every other day if necessary)
2. Hair Masque The Power Base Protein Masque (Once a month) *Honestly, I should do this every week, but I'm such a sloth! )
3. Daily Hair Shampoo - TSUBAKI Shining Shampoo (from Watsons/Guardian)
4. Daily Hair Conditioner - TSUBAKI Shining Conditioner (from Watsons/Guardian)
5. Leave-on Conditioner - Original & Mineral Conditioning Detangler (sprayed when hair is wet after bath)
6. Leave-on Serum - Original & Mineral Frizzy Logic Shine Serum (applied on ends before blow-drying)

And that's about it! It's a lot of products going on but I do try to take good care of my hair cos' a person's mane really frames the face and can make or break your looks!

Also, I tried a new eye liner look yesterday haha, thought I'd spam you guys with some photos too ;p
I always draw my eyeliner very thick cos my double eye lids are always bulgy and wonky and they are not symmetrical or even. Yesterday was a good eye day so I only needed to line very thinly with my Dollywink Brown Liquid Liner and it looked effortless and natural which was what I always wanted to achieve with my eyes.

Completed the look with 1 coat of my favourite Majolica Majorca Mascara and a new Lip Delivery Antioxidant Gloss from Intelligent Nutrients that's certified organic and gluten free! Haha ;p
I picked the one in Cranberry Glow cos I don't seem to have similar lip colours and it's almost a russet colour with a beautiful natural sheen. Smells more like plum than cranberry but I love it anyway! It's quite moisturing and goes on really smoothly with their brush applicator.

How do you like the look?

Oh and before I forget! Special treat for all my lovely and amazing readers! Quote "GWENYUMMY" for 10% off any Hair Cuts/Styling & Dye services at Next Salon if you ever decide to visit! Heh, look for Xavier or Willie cos they are the ones I personally work with! =D Good luck!

Thanks so much for dropping by, have a super duper Tuesday and check back in tonight cos I'll be posting up yesterday's outfit details!
