Has it ever occurred to you what happens when car tyres wear out?
Well, the tyres become scrap and end up in the landfill. Nearly 300 million tyres are discarded each year - and that’s just in the United States. And because rubber doesn't decompose easily, it contributes to the huge waste problem worldwide.

Thanks to Rubber Killer, these tyres are saved,  re-textured into high-quality, stylish bags, pouches and notebooks. The products are functional, edgy, and eco-conscious, qualities that resonate an outstanding and responsible fashion brand.

Rubber Killer exudes a certain cool vibe, with a good array of designs, styles and textures for the eco-conscious and fashion-forward shopper to choose from. Who says you can't have style and substance?

Originally from Chiang Mai, Thailand, Rubber Killer is the brainchild of Saroengrong Wong-Savun, a.k.a. Joi. An independent architect, Joi mixes his brilliant design know-how with his eco-friendly philosophy to create super sustainable products under his own studio - the Re-Leaf Studio.

The brand believes in giving back to society and provide opportunities for locals in emerging economies by training them, equipping them with valuable skills and providing fair compensation under the Fair Trade International system. Through this initiative, Rubber Killer hopes to aid these workers in raising their earning power to better provide for themselves and their families.

A firm believer in the importance of education, they also allocate a percentage of their profits to fund a local education scholarship in Thailand, with the aim of financing the education of financially needy students.

The Classic Jan is my go-to bagpack for anything and everything. It makes for a great travel bagpack because it holds so much and it's lightweight. However, these days, I use it to hold my clothes, shoes and Ronny pouch when I hit the gym. It's spacious and practical for all ages. It comes in 6 different colours but I figured black works best for me, though I really adore the yellow one, it's such an exhilarating shade!

The Ronny pouch is versatile and functional. It's uni-sexual, as with most of their products, so guys can choose to use it for school stationery, to store travel essentials such as shades, passports, currencies. Needless to say, girls have 1000 uses for pouches so I need not explain but I like to store my toiletries and beauty essentials for gym because I can bring it into the shower and not afraid that it will get wet because it is water resistant :)

The collection is feminine and sophisticated. The designs are understated, which gives our creativity free rein to pair tops with jeans, pants or pencil skirts.

It’s Summertime in the Park at OC! The annual Great Singapore Sale event at Orchard Central just got bigger and better this year!

Transforming its atrium into a park setting lined with an extensive fleet of vintage Kombis and Beetles, it has garnered a spot in the Singapore's Book of Records as the "Largest Vintage Car Bazaar".

Earlier last weekend, I got around to explore their signature car boot sale in a refreshing new experience! The delightful carnival is adorned with meticulous details - bunting flags, old street lamp posts, lush greenery, vintage marquee lights and Pop-Up Kombis to feast your eyes on.

There are 27 vendors showcasing items from food to fashion and lifestyle products alongside an extensive fleet of 14 vintage Kombis and Beetles which I attest, make fabulously good photos on Instagram!

And what better way to enjoy shopping, food and drinks while listening to great live band performances in the company of friends and family? Every Saturday and Sunday in the month of June, there'll be live music playing at the stage area at 3pm, 5pm and 8pm. . Expect local artistes, HubbaBubbas, Ciao Turtle, Deon Toh, Take Two and many more!

Following the trail from the beginning, or at the end, whichever way you come from, there's a surprise at every stall for you. Go on a tea-tasting experience at Tea Ideas, find exquisite handmade pop-up cards from Paper Therapy and shop for elegant dresses from Pleatation

Those are my favourites, but I'm sure you'll find something that speaks to you. Trinkets, plush toys, kitchenware, murals, take your pick! Halfway through, you could even stop for free cotton candy (only on weekends)!

I was quite happy with my green tea purchases and thought I'd share a little more on them because I personally enjoy drinking tea and all the health benefits that come with it!

I got a box of Gyokuru High Grade Japanese Tea and 2 boxes of Cha-ppucino from Tea Ideas. I don't generally drink green tea in powder form but this one is delicate and fragrant. Enhancing anti-aging effects, lowering cholesterol levels, improving digestive system are just a handful of benefits in this supreme quality organic green tea. The lovely attendant also introduced their instant Cha-ppucino. At first I was skeptical, because I've tried a few instant Matcha lattes and they were mostly too sweet or the balance of Matcha and milk were just a little off. This one tasted slightly different because it is light, smooth and not overly sweet so I enjoyed it overall.

There are also great deals at every booth and all around the mall, but most importantly, the summertime park setting and the display of vintage cars added to a whole new experience and I believe, would give shoppers a fuller and more engaging experience. An ideal place to spend the weekends with friends and families!

Hi everyone!

Pardon my disappearance but do be patient while I get things in order! I’ve been making re-adjustments to my life and it hasn't been easy but I’m coping! However, I’m really glad to say that, I have been feeling a lot lighter, happier and more at ease with myself since the New Year and will share with you more on my transition as soon as I can. I have been doing more personal writing, most of which I feel my thoughts and feelings I am not ready to share on a public platform knowing that the Internet is forever... Lol.

That aside, today I want to talk about a brand-new power Beauty Serum, specifically Asience’s Nature Smooth Shampoo range.

I am very particular when it comes to my hair because I have a sensitive scalp and if not taken care of properly, tends to get oily and itches quickly. Also, my hair gets caught in a hundred thousand knots whenever I wash it.

As a result, I am very specific and careful about what I choose to use on my hair and only wash it once every 2 days if possible.

For me, suitability of the product comes first, then fragrance, because which girl doesn’t want to smell like a bed of flowers and lastly, ingredients.

I received the new Asience Nature Smooth range for Oily Scalp and Dry Ends. This new generation of hair care series transforms your hair with every wash and immediately nourishes with a concentrated infusion of argan oil, camellia oil and precious essences of pearl, pomegranate, rose and lemongrass.

Kao’s Hair Beautifying Technology allows the formula to penetrate into the hair core, plumps up the hollowed protein fibres found in damaged hair, thereby repairing and restoring shine and suppleness of hair form within.

After 3 washes, my hair feels more youthful and healthy while being less tangled. I’ve only had to use a 50-cent coin size of product even though I have very thick and dense hair so this huge bottle can last me at least 4-6 months. Fragrance wise, it has quite a heavy floral smell due to the many flower extracts in the ingredients list. However, the lemongrass is quite evident and depending on each individual, you may or may not like it.

I would suggest this to girls looking to achieve softness, shine and smoothness with this first ever Beauty Serum in a Shampoo.

Between the Nature Smooth Conditioner and the Treatment, I’d go with the latter as it is a lot denser and nourishing and I can really feel the product penetrating into my hair fibres and softening my dry ends. Leave it on for 3 minutes before rinsing it off.

If you don’t mind splurging, pamper yourself with the Asience Nature Smooth Treatment twice a week or every time you shampoo your hair. I love this product the most as I’ve gotten 2-3 compliments that my hair feels softer and looks more youthful when they touch it.  It also smells different than most other treatment products I’ve used as they have added lemongrass, which is quite strong and uplifting when you smear it on. Finally, I think it’s more important how I feel about the product and I really like the richness and highly concentrated Beauty Serum formula that leaves my hair feeling so luscious.

The new and improved Asience haircare range is available at leading supermarkets, western pharmacies and personal care stores from January 2015. Both the Shampoo and Conditioner are available in the size of 480ml (pump bottle) at $14.90 each.

If you like to give this product a try, sample sizes are available on, Now head over to start your experience! J
