So this is a highly requested review that I've put off for far too long!
It's the Make Up Forever HD Foundation (N117) that I've featured in my November Favourites Post & Youtube Video and I've been using this for quite a while now, probably about 1-2 months before I decided to feature it. I take my foundation testing seriously because it's the basis for all your other makeup so you really don't want your skin looking like a cheese grater.
Consistency: Fluid foundation that feels light and just slightly runny. Absorbs into the skin very easily no matter what kind of makeup applicator you use, be it a sponge, a brush, or your fingers!
Coverage: Medium build-able coverage. Application is smooth and seamless. I love the slightly matte, flawless finish on my skin and doesn't look thick or patchy at all.
Wearability: Looks and feels light on the skin and lasts about 6 hours until my skin starts to oxidise and starts looking a little greasy. But that's quite normal because I have oily-combination skin, so I'm very thankful it hasn't made me feel like an oil slick after an hour of application.
Value: SGD76. The price is comparable to other foundations that are available in the market. It's quite a big bottle so I feel that pricing wise, it's quite reasonable as it will probably take me at least half a year before it's completely spent.
Photo above: Clean, natural makeup look just fresh out of the oven hahaha!
And this was taken 6-7hours later in the evening. You can tell there's a bit of shine on my face, especially around the T-zone areas.
Overall: Love the texture, the coverage and overall
natural, velvety finish. I am using the shade in N117 and it compliments my skin tone to a T. It's so far, my favourite brand of liquid
foundation. I used it almost every other day and many times, I skip my
concealers because it covers just about all my redness and blemishes
without looking chalky. 4.2/5
Thanks for reading! Hope for those who emailed me about the MUFE Foundation, you found this review useful if you've been contemplating about purchasing this for some time now.
Oh, btw! I will also be covering the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Full Coverage Foundation on my blog soon, so if you're not in a hurry, the review will be up this weekend! :)
Good night butterflies!
