The annual Great Singapore Sale at Orchard Central just got bigger and better this year!

Transforming its atrium into a summertime park setting lined with an extensive fleet of vintage Kombis and Beetles, it has garnered a spot in the Singapore's Book of Records as the "Largest Vintage Car Bazaar".

Earlier last weekend, I got around to exploring their signature car boot sale in a refreshing new experience! The delightful carnival adorned with meticulous details - bunting flags, old street lamp posts, lush greenery, vintage marquee lights and cotton candy and popcorn pushcarts to feast your eyes on.

There will be 27 vendors ranging from food to fashion and lifestyle products that will showcase alongside an extensive fleet of 14 vintage Kombis and Beetles which I attest, make for darn good photos on Instagram!

And what better way to enjoy shopping, food and drinks while listening to awesome live band performances in the company of friends and family? Every Saturday and Sunday, there'll be live music from 3:00 to 8:30pm so if you want to experience something unique every weekend till the 9 July 2015, then you wouldn't want to miss this magical event.

Following the trail from the beginning, or at the end, whichever way you come from, there's a surprise in stall for you. From the wholesome tea-tasting experience at Tea Ideas to the exquisite handmade pop-up cards from Paper Therapy to the elegant dresses from Pleatation. Those are my favourites, but I'm sure you'll find something that speaks to you. Trinkets, plush toys, kitchenware, murals, take your pick! Halfway through, you could even stop for popcorn and cotton candy!

The great thing about this carnival is that there will be different vendors on rotation every other week, so you can be sure to expect something every time you visit again! I was quite happy with my green tea purchases and thought I'd share a little more on them because I personally enjoy drinking tea and all the health benefits that come with it!

I got a box of Gyokuru High Grade Japanese Tea and 2 boxes of Cha-ppucino from Tea Ideas. I don't generally drink green tea in powder form but this one is delicate and fragrant. Enhancing anti-aging effects, lowering cholesterol levels, improving digestive system are just a handful of benefits in this supreme quality organic green tea. The lovely attendant also introduced their instant Cha-ppucino. At first I was skeptical, because I've tried a few instant Macha lattes and they were mostly too sweet or the balance of Macha and milk were just a little off. This one tasted slightly differently because it is light, smooth and not overly sweet so I enjoyed it overall.

There are also huge discounts at every booth and all around the mall, but most importantly, this year feels different because the whole summertime park setting added to the whole visual experience and I believe, gives shoppers a fuller, more engaging experience. An ideal place to spend the weekends with friends and families!
